Falconnettes Champs the Unisex Futsal

The tournament was held as part of the "Football Week" program. Unisex futsal was a tournament opened for guys AND girls in Curtin.
A team will consists of 4 guys, and 4 girls and at least 3 girls must be in the pitch at one time. There are many rules adjusted to contain the fairness as well the fun factor of the games. Examples are like, only girls can take free kick and kick in, girls are well protected as guys are not allowed to blast the ball (a gentleman game), and the most exciting is that a goal scored by a girl is counted as 2 goals.

The tournament was successfully attracted 10 teams, and held in 2 days (6th and 7th May) from 7pm to around 930pm. It was done in double-knockout system, which every team will play at least 2 times.
As we are all aware, cup tournament that involve single knock-out can be very cruel to certain teams if let say 2 strongest in the tournament drawn to play each other in first round. This tournament has proved this to be right and the cruelty of knock-out game was successfully lifted.
CiTY Club was beaten by Falconnettes in the first round, but they won all the games after that to claim their spot in final - to again play Falconnettes. The final ended 5-2 on Falconnettes side, to be crowned as the champion of this first ever tournament.

The tournament was very exciting, as 3 matches ended in penalty shot-out. Most attracting could be from first round, or the 3-4 play off.
In first round, Council Angels and Swimmers match ended with a draw, end the penalty was taken by all 8 players to decide the winner - from Swimming CLub. While, the 3/4 placing ended 2-2, goals from Taha(Rovers) in 9th minute, cancelled out by Nan's(BPP) at 10th, and the penalty won by Basket Poom Poom.
The first half of the final was a breath-taking one, after Ali(Falconnettes) scored, Bobby scored to give advantage to CiTY Club by 2-1. However, Falconnettes captain Abby scored to regain the lead on Falconnettes' side. Abby scored another to seal the win for them.

There are 3 individual awards allocated. Top Scorer went to Bobby for her 10 goals in the tournament. MVP Ladies category also belongs to Bobby, and Nan from Basket Poom Poom announced Guys MVP.

Machanz Went To The Top

match report prepared by Rahilah

1st match

Machanz vs Galacticos.

A really interesting match to watch. Galacticos started the game fiercely through nice try by Salim which went a bit over the post during 3rd minute of the match. The first 10 minutes of the match was controlled by Galacticos. But, Raj from Machanz was the one who shot the first score at 11 minutes of the game. He almost scored another goal at 15 minutes of the match but Marko saved the day. Another 15 minutes goes by was fully utilised by Steve, Salim and Jojo from Galacticos to lauch few attacks towards Machanz side. Mahmud from Machanz tried at 29 minutes and Lingesh from Machanz almost scored a goal when Marko missed to save the ball but the Galacticos Man of the Match last week, Celestine come to the rescue. First half ended with 1-0.

Second half was even better. Machanz started with a nice half volley by Mahmud but saved by Marko at 45 minutes of the game. Machanz was dominating the second half by scoring another two goals, one from Lingesh at 52 minutes and one from Mahmud when he chipped the ball over Marko at 56 minutes. Non stop attacking came from both of the teams for 15 minutes. The nice play came from Raj when he ran with the ball and passed it to Juma for a try but hit the side post. Lingesh close of the match with another goal at 77 minutes. He was the man of the match.

2nd match
Sabah v D Eagles

Started with a nice try from Sultan at 3 minutes of the match. But the match does not have a nice end to it due to uncontrollable emotion between both teams, which leads to the riot in and off the field.

added by admin
The referee called the game off after 19 minutes, with yet no goals scored. So, it was 0-0 for them. The future of both teams are to be observed by the CFC committee, and will be referred to the rules signed by all the managers earlier in the season. Any updates will be communicated further.

So the result is:
Machanz 4 - 0 Galacticos
Sabah FC 0 - 0 D Eagles

Meeting Updates 29 April

Few important issues raised towards the end of this semester. It has been a great semester so far anyway. Just to keep everyone updated here.

1 - League re-schedule.
This main event in CFC has come to the time where academic constraint has taken its place to challenge the members and committee of CFC to arrange things that can make everybody satisfied.
a) Borneo FC is having their study trip, so their match has to be postponed (originally scheduled on sunday 3rd May).
b) Kelkatu FC's players will majoritily involved in another field trip, which made their match postponed (originally scheduled 2May saturday).
The result from this problems has led to a decision to re-arrange matches for week 5 to be as below.

2 - Punctuality
Another issue has raised on previous match when teams who should start the game at 3pm came after 3pm. Therefore, the match at 5pm has became the victim when that game time was reduced due to darkness. Therefore, a more strict action will be taken after this.
a) When a team come late more than 15minutes (after 5:15 as example), the opponent will be given a walkover win by 3-0.
b) If both team come late, they will play at reduced time, so that the 2nd game(the 5pm game) will not be affected by the first game.

3 - Ball
Let say player A from team A kicked a ball to the bushes. Somebody from team A has to go take the ball, or else team A must replace with a new ball. It will be manager's responsiblity in exact, but please be relevant because manager should get co-operation from his players. Failing to settle with this order, team A might be penalised (such as point deduction, or fee in term of money).

4 - Cleanliness
Curtin management has made it clear to CFC that we might be stopped from using the field if we do not take care of the field's condition (just keep it CLEAN from rubbish, that all!!!). So, the teams behaviour will be observed. Again, it is manager's responsibility to remind the players to throw rubbish (such as cans, bottles) into the BIG DUSTBIN provided at the field. Failure to obey this will also results in penalty to the team.

5 - Discipline
Since that we have reached the peak of the league, we are ready for some more serious actions in the field, which might lead to tense situation. So, we will observed the game properly.
a) Referee's decision is final. This means, cards (yellow and red) cannot be lifted. There were so many cases when team(or palyer) made appeal to the card when they got suspended, but in CFC history none of the appeal succeed. It is clear that referee has granted full power to award the card for dubious as well as obvious misbehaviour in the field. Misbehaviour is included of swearing to the referee.
b) In case of players misbehaved but the referee did not see, committees view as witness have the power to raise the behaviour in a meeting, and a player might be penalised (such as match ban, or league ban) when the committee agrees so. Therefore, we hope everybody will play with professional behaviour.

6 - League
a) CFC has decided on awards to be given. There are teams award, as well as individual.
Team award : 1st, 2nd, 3rd
Individual : Best GK, best defender, best midfielder, best striker, Golden Boot, MVP, Best manager, and another one.
b) There will be "SPORTS NIGHT" organised by ALL sports-based clubs in Curtin (Volleyball, basketball, rugby, badminton etc). So, prize giving ceremony for the league will be done during the event. Details of the event:
30 May, Imperial Hotel Palm Terrace, 3pm to 11pm. RM30.

7 - Debts
CFC will take action for any teams that do not pay their debt by next wednesday (6 May 2009). Debts here included the individual registration fee (RM5 per person only maaa). Teams which do not settle this debt won't be allowed to play the next game.

Meeting was held 29 May, 4pm. Every manager was there, and informed. If you don't get/hear this news from them, please start to think of changing to new manager OK!! Peace!! No war!!

WEEK 4 - Review

Prepared by Abby (for Bulletin)

D EAGLES FC 10 – 0 BORNEO FC

Originally supposed to take place on Sunday, the match between Eagles and Borneo were rescheduled to Friday due to academic purposes on Borneo’s side. D Eagles pretty much clinched the first half, and… the second. The score sheet starts off with a goal by Fejiro, followed by Peace, Landy, two from Man of the Match Nadun and five splendid goals by their top scorer, Mmediong. Borneo had a few tries, mainly one particularly close one by O’Neil, whose shot went wide. Eagles are now third in the league with 8 points.

TRINITY FC 1 – 1 GALACTICOS FC

The match begins with a very impressive performance by Marko with a few notable saves in the first 15 minutes. Mseks did however find a way through Marko with a goal in the 22nd minute when Trinity was awarded a free kick. Five minutes into the second half, Steve equalized with a quick goal from the far left and into the net. There was a scramble in the 88th minute in the box belonging to the away team when Chris managed to clear away a very, very close attempt by Trinity. There were another few attempts by Robert, Steve and Sean, but unfortunately all of them did not come to pass. Man of the match was awarded to Celestine from Galacticos for notably fine defending.

Celestine

SABAH FC 7– 1 CRAZY STONE

This was a chance for the reserves from Sabah to shine. In the 28th minute, Ali scores his 7th goal for the semester with a brilliant pass from Jorden. 5 minutes later goalkeeping error, Ali shoot hit the goalpost and goalkeeper’s unintentionally head the ball into his own net. Shortly into the second half, the score line increased with a remarkable header by Godwin, assisted by Jorden once again. Top scorer Sultan then enters the game as a substitute and scores, unsurprisingly. Crazy Stone did however manage to get the ball pass Hasnat when JJ swooped the ball pass at the chance of a goal keeping error. Ali scores again for the second time in the game, resulting in the 5th for Sabah. The 6th goal came from defender Ahmed who brought the ball into the box and blasted it into the net. Godwin seals the scoring sheet with the final goal of the day by tapping in a brilliant chip by Sultan. Man of the match was awarded to Jorden for his constant assisting and tries.

Dinesh, Jorden, Peeche

MACHANZ FC 3 – 2 KELKATU FC

Second in the league Machanz walked away with a victory once again with three outstanding goals by Raj, who was also granted Man of the match. The first half was undeniably Machanz’ as not only did all three goals happen then, but Kelkatu seemed to diminish in their shadow. However, just 6 minutes into the second half, Safiq scores a goal from the left, giving Kelkatu a glimmer of hope. Tompoq took a free kick and he took it well, but Muhammad just manages to block it off. A few minutes later, Salim scores the second goal for Kelkatu, who showed major improvement into the second half. Machanz are now second in the league with only 2 points behind the champions.

SABAH FC 4 – 2 KELKATU FC

Top of the table leaders Sabah FC started the game with a goal by Sultan in the 11th minute and a very close shave of a clearance by Firdaus on the goal line after a very on-target free kick taken by Safiq less than ten minutes later. After a foul for a hand ball by Chendol, Danny had a spectacular free kick but the cross was unfortunately wasted. Hafiz, Kelkatu’s goal keeper should be credited for several of his crucial saves. About 15 minutes into the second half, Mohsen equalized with a grounder shot. And just 3 minutes later, Safiq scored once again, giving them a rare lead over the champions. The lead, however, was short-lived as Sultan scored another two goals, earning himself yet another hat trick in the span of 3 minutes. Hopes of equalizing were shattered when Sultan fires the last goal of the match into the net with a lock right over the keeper’s head 5 minutes before the game ended, and was declared Man of the Match. Again.

GALACTICOS FC 6 – 1 BORNEO FC

Previously conceder of 17 goals to Machanz’ Borneo FC faces Galacticos next. Galacticos had a stronger start with a goal by Aeron in the 8th minute. A few attempts followed after, notably Salim’s that hit the post, Robert’s that went wide and Aeron’s that hit the post again. And also a rare one from O’Neil of Borneo FC’s that also went wide. In the 31st minute, Steve took advantage of Richard’s mistake and blasted a goal pass him and into the net. Marko then decided to join the goal keeper’s slip-ups club and allowed O’Neil to chip the ball pass him, resulting in their second goal scored so far in the league. They had another chance to score but Shannon’s free kick went too far wide after a hand ball foul by Gideon. In the second half, it was apparent that Galacticos needed to brush up on their defending. Their striking stayed on a positive stability with superb attempts by Robert, Salim, newbie Jackie and Aeron. The ball finally found the back of the net twice in 2 minutes thanks to Robert. Aeron then swooped in and scored two final goals for Galacticos and walked away with a hat-trick and the title as Man of the Match.

D EAGLES FC 5 – 0 CRAZY STONE

Eagles FC were obviously the favorites to win the match. However, the replacement of the new keeper, Joel, proved to be jackpot for Crazy Stone as he made a number of brilliant saves that kept the score line empty for half an hour. Eagles then took the lead with a low drive goal by Zee, and another goal by Mmediong five minutes later. It was rather impressive that Crazy Stone only conceded two goals in the first half. Eagles did eventually find their way pass the goal keeper with two more goals from Zee and one more from Mmediong. This is the first time Crazy Stone conceded less than ten goals in one match and has shown massive improvement with the appointment of a new manager, Jowad. Joel was named Man of the Match for his amazing goal keeping.

TRINITY FC 0 – 5 MACHANZ

A lot of people expected more from this match, especially on Trinity’s part. Mazly opened the scoring with a goal in the 26th minute, with slick assisting from Lingesh. In the 38th minute, Raj handed a great pass to Mazly, who then nicely tucked it into the goal, allowing Machanz to lead 2-0 by the end of the first half. About ten minutes into the second, Sean conceded a penalty for a harsh tackle on Lingesh (which resulted in some verbal friction on the field) and Mazly took full advantage of the penalty with a third goal for the team, and for himself that day. Interestingly enough, each winning team of this week has a hat-trick hero each respectively (Sultan, Aeron, Zee, Mazly). Man of the Match, Mazly also assisted in the next goal by Raj; where the ball volleyed into the net in the 69th minute. Just as the match was reaching its end and barely five minutes into the game as a substitute, Juma scored the fifth goal of the match, resulting in a rather unexpected and impressive victory over Trinity FC.

Week 3 PREVIEW

Tomorrow Week 3 of Curtin League Season 1-2009 will proceed. An interesting weekend for the Curtin footballers as the league will take 3 weeks break after that due to tuition week free (can we consider this like the international break in EPL and other Europe leagues?-haha).

O well, lets see who plays who this weekend.

Week 3 will start with top-2 teams playing each other. They are both gained full points so far from 2 matches, and leading the league with 6 points. Sabah FC will play Kelkatu FC on saturday 3pm. Sabah now on top of the league with 1 goal different margin ahead of Kelkatu, from their success of beating Galacticos 4-1 last week. Kelkatu beat Galacticos 3-2 a week before that. They had also scored 12 past opponents previously-Borneo and Crazy Stone were the victims. Who will win? Lets the ball do the talking tomorrow. But obviously whoever wins will lead the league for quite some time. And a draw will re-open the title challenge back to 5 teams.

Another saturday match will also determine the rough picture of the teams fate in the league this term. Galacticos and Borneo FC are all pointless at the moment. Galacticos lost to Kelkatu, and Sabah, after the hard-fought game in both. Borneo in the other hand were beaten by Sabah and Machanz, 12-1 and 17-0. Definitely Galacticos will be the favorite for this game, but remember the ball is round.

On sunday, D Eagles will play Crazy Stone. D Eagles is now eyeing their first win in the league after becoming a draw-master so far. They drew with Machanz and Trinity, where both teams are title challenger candidate early in the season. Crazy Stone will struggle to avoid more balls into their net as they had conceded 27, and scored none. I would predict the scoreline will be somewhat similir to Crazy Stone vs Trinity before.

The league will take the rest with another tight match between 2nd and 3rd placing for last season, Trinity vs Machanz. They had both drew with D Eagles, and won BIG against Crazy Stone and Borneo respectively. They are really desperate to install a win from this match to stay in the race for the league title. A draw will be loss-loss situation for both side as they might brushed further away from the top.

Prediction anybody? Put it in the comment.

League 22 March 09

1st Match: Sabah FC vs. Galacticos

Results: 4 - 1

Scorer(s):
Sabah FC - Sultan (2), Fir (2), Ali (1). Galacticos - Aeron (1)

Man of the Match: Sultan

Sultan with the award, and Dinesh J

Yellow card(s): Sabah FC - Jorden & Kelvin. Galacticos - Gideon & Celestine

Red card(s): None

Comment: Another interesting game of the week. Galacticos played well but was bitten down by more experienced Sabah players. Galacticos style of game are more structured compared to Sabah for the 1st half. Sabah was a bit lost on the 1st half but regained their rythm on the 2nd half. A lot of on goal attempts from both sides but the most remarkable attempt was a free kick from Aeron (Galacticos). All and all, again, is one of the best match of the week after Eagles played Trinity FC.

2nd Match: Machanz vs. Borneo FC

Results: 17 - 0

Scorer(s): Machanz - Lingesh (5), Raj (4), Nan (3), Ishaq (3) and Mahmud (2)

Man of the Match: Lingesh

Yellow card(s): None

Red card(s): None

Comment: Machanz was all about the goal! So far, they had scored the most for this semester league. There was nothing much to review about on the match. Another training match i would say. Hopefully Borneo FC will come back for the next game.

League 21 March 09

1st Match: Trinity FC vs. Eagles FC

Result: 0 - 0

Man of the Match: Mmediong (Eagles FC)

Mmediong, with PeeChe(vice-president)

Comment: It started as a moderate game but end up as the most interesting game. From start until the end, the ball possession were more towards Eagles FC. Eagles FC had few nice chances to score but Kuda, Trinity’s keeper was too good. Most of Trinity’s main player was a bit fatigue because they involved with the Touch Rugby Tournament at Kelab Rekreasi Petroliam. Both of the teams are strong and has their own tactics and style. All and all, a really entertaining game. The NEW contender for the league title: Eagles FC.

2nd Match: Kelkatu FC vs. Crazy Stone

Result: 12 - 0

Scorer(s): Safiq (5), Mamat (4), Chendoy (2) and Salim (1) for Kelkatu FC.

Top scorer Safiq, 5 goals (total 7)

Man of the Match: Salim (Kelkatu FC)

Comment: Again like last week, having Crazy Stone on the field was like a team training. Its shown again this week. Kelkatu FC was expected to win big and they proved it. Mamat missed 4 nice chances of open goals but he managed to score 4 as well. The hottest event was Chendoy, who played Centre Defender for Kelkatu FC scored 2 goals in one match which by far, his first time ever! Congratulations! Again, a boring match because it was expected to have many goals but Crazy Stone does gave some fight especially from the defenders and keeper. As many attack as Kelkatu had on Crazy Stone, same goes to the tries that has been saved by the Crazy Stone keeper.

Galacticos 2 - 3 Kelkatu

League review:
15/3/09 3pm

Kelkatu started the first half ahead with several on target attempts, eventually leading to two goals by Safiq. Five minutes later, newcomer Salim scored again. This led to few changes by Galacticos such as the entry of Aeron and Stanley.
Few minutes later, Vee scored a goal assisted by Steve. Galacticos' goalkeeper then made a terrible blunder by having a handball outside the penalty box.
Shortly into the 2nd half, Vee was handed a red card for tackling Hafiz, Kelkatu's goalkeeper. This meant Galacticos was left with 10-men. They knew they had to change something, and Marko coming in as the replacement instantly by saving a flying shot by Mamat.
In the 70th, Aeron has splendid goal from the far left with a throw in by Chris. There was a slight confusion inside, but the goal was what it was - a goal!
Kelkatu won the game and man of the match was awarded to double-scorer Safiq.

Borneo 1 - 12 Sabah FC

CFC Bulletin:
Match review - 14/3/09, 5pm

Sultan stared the scoring marathon in the 12th minute. The next 4 goals came in a sort of sequence as Jorden(18), Sultan(19), and Ali(22 & 26) scored consecutively. Ali's goal was a fine assist by Danny, who shot into the goal but was deflected off Ali. Avinash was shown a yellow card a little before the half ended.
Six minute into the second half, Ali scores his third goal, resulting in a hat trick. I guess one hat trick wasn't enough as a minute alter, Sultan scored again, earning himself one too. Another sequence of goals followed when Ali(54), Sultan(58), and Jorden(64) each had more goals to their names. The next goal was scored by Jai for Borneo FC as he chest-bumped the ball into the net. Ali and Ahmed then scored a goal each, resulting in a total of twelve goals. Ali was awarded Man of the Match with a whopping total of 5 goals - just in one match. Eagles 2 - 2 Machanz

This post was written by Abby the Secretary, in the CFC Bulletin.

Date of game : 14/3/09
time : 3pm

The first match and it started off quickly. Amate's shot hit the back of the net at 18th minute, letting Eagles lead by a goal to nil. Machanz had a few attemps to equalize. They were paid off shortly after as Lingesh scored one from the edge of penalty box.
D Eagles players saw red in the 2nd half when Peace was handed a red card for apparent tackling of Machanz' goalkeeper, but the nature of the red card is under consideration and an appeal has been requested. A yellow was handed to Mmediong at 60th minute for a rough tackle. A few more attemps were made but it was a handball by Ashween inside the penalty box that led to the next goal. Mmediong took the penalty and he took it well, seconds after Ashween was shown yellow for protesting.
Eagles' celebration were stumped in 71st when Raj scored the final goal, assisted by Juma. Mahmud earned himself a yellow for a harsh tackle on Samuel, resulting in a total of four cards. Mmediong was announced the man of the match and both teams walk away with one point each. Mmediong, Man of the Match

1st match : Kelkatu FC vs. Galacticos FC

Result: 3 -2

Scorer: Kelkatu FC - Safiq (2), Salim (1). Galacticos FC - Vee (1), Aeron (1)

Comment: Nice 1st half game. Ball possession more to Kelkatu FC. Kelkatu FC is not a new team, rather a new branding with a hell of better players. Communication between the Galacticos FC abit lost on the 1st half. 2nd half, most of the Kelkatu FC players injured, maybe lack of stamina. Its noted by the assistant coach, Mr Hafizi @ Gapam. 2nd half was a shine time for Galacticos FC by brought in their secret weapon, Marko as the keeper, replacing Jojoe. Ball possession were more to Galacticos on the 2nd half. Kelkatu FC played more defensive strategy on the 2nd half. Today, 1st red card was issued by the referee on Vee due to his tackle on Hafiz, Kelkatu FC keeper. All and all, a really interesting game i would say. Now, people are really taking Kelkatu FC for serious. Good Job my fellow players.

*i sucks as a manager…long time…haha

2nd match : Trinity FC vs. Crazy Stone

Result: 15 - 0

Scorer: Trinity FC - Keith (5), Sean (4), Philip (1), i can’t remember another 2 scorer. sorry.

Comment: It’s more like a training instead of a match for Trinity. Keith scored for the 1st 30 second of the game. Almost all of the goals was a really nice shots. Crazy Stone had abit difficult time to manage their players and the game tactics. At least, its a good starter for Trinity because Sabah scored 12-1 against Borneo FC yesterday. Goal differences is a big matter to Sabah and Trinity. It was a boring game (no offense ya). Hopefully Crazy Stone can make it up for the second game, which is against….SABAH! (error: actually against Kelkatu)

Happenning Opening Week

Newly-formed D Eagles made a great start in Curtin Football League season 1/2009 when they opened the league match against Machanz FC. The match ended 2-2, with D Eagles had to play with 10-men when their striker was sent off for a dangerous challenge on Machanz goalkeeper. Machanz who finished 3rd last season won't be satisfied with the end result as they are aiming high this season to improve their position. Mediong was the man of the match.

Another match on sunday was Sabah FC vs Borneo FC, a game that involved 13 goals in total. The title holder won 12-1 in the one sided match. Consolation goal for Borneo scored by super-sub Jai. Ali(Sabah) was awarded man of the match for this game.

On sunday, Kelkaltu FC scored 3 early goals and defended their life out for the advantages to gain 3-2 win against Galacticos. The star-man Vee was given red card for another dangerous challenge on Kelkatu's keeper. Safiq was awarded man of the match; he scored twice.

The later game was another goal-party when Trinity crazily trashed Crazy Stone 15-0. Almost everyone lost count on the goal. Sabah Won Community Cup

Curtin, 8 March - Sabah FC grabbed a comfortable victory over Trinity on a cloudy evening. The match that symbolize the beginning of new football season in Curtin was held successfully in the main field in Curtin, with the involvement of Milo (Nestle Sdn Bhd) as the sponsor of the event.

The event was first started by the official opening ceremony, that indicate the season 1/2009 has now begun. CFC Club Advisor, Mr Azhar and the Student Council President, Ranulph kicked a penalty together as the launching for the season.

Soon after that start the Community Cup match kicked-off at around 4:30pm.

The game started at high pace as both teams attacked end-to-end. But as it is still the very beginning of season, players fitness is considerably quite low for the moment as we can see that the flow of the game reduced quickly.

By the half-time, Sabah has taken the lead of 2-0. And the end result also showed the dominancy Sabah had in the game with 6-2 scoreline.

Sultan had again warned the defenders of the coming league that he should be marked tightly as he bargain a hat-trick in this match. The other scorers for Sabah are Jorden, Firdaus and Danny. While only 1 Trinity player scored, because Trinity's 2nd goal came from the 'Fabio da Silva' of Sabah - an own goal.

PeChee was the only player to be booked in this match, with a yellow card and there is no worry for both teams because the committee has set that any card from Community Cup will not be carried into the league.

Prize giving ceremony was held right after the match, by President of CFC Chris, and the Technical Advisor, Tompoq.

Community Cup

The league is about to start. Believe it or not. It'll start in about 10 days from now. Are you ready??

Anyway, CFC will start this season with Community Cup. What is it?

I think half of us can guess what is it. It is a one-off match, between the two top teams of the previous season. In many leagues around the world, the match is between the league winner vs Cup winner.

But since that CFC did not organize any Cup competition lately, league champion and runner-up will play for CFC Community Cup. Sabah FC vs Trinity.
The match will be this Sunday, 8th of March 2009, at our HUGE field. Time 4:00pm.

Milo is one of the expected sponsor. So, be there early to get your free-superbly-made-Milo. We all like free stuff don't we?

The Cup was also sponsored by a sport shop in Mosjaya. O well, maybe we want to start considering that shop as a shop for us to buy our jersey or equipments after this.

Other than that, for 4 seasons we have seen that Sabah vs Trinity match has always been extremely entertaining. Fast pace, skillful players from each side, so we are expecting a really good football this sunday, and it is free for all to enjoy the bits of it.

The managers for both teams has decided to keep their squad secret, to give the opponent surprises. What tactic will it be? Who's the key player? Those are all secret!!

Come and watch the game. Take some pictures. Write few words about it. Post it to this blog through email. Your contribution will be acknowledged.
