Headhunters Vs Kelkatu

It’s the second match of match day 1, between Kelkatu and Headhunters. Kelkatu being the favorite to win this created the first chance of the game with a nice lob from Farouk to Amirul in the 2nd minute the resulting shot bringing out the best from Kuda the goalkeeper.  So far Kelkatu has all the ball possession with hafiz taking a shot which was far away from target. Headhunters were not out of the game though with JJ’s goal rightly disallowed. Suddenly, a nice lob from Avinash falls perfectly for Fabian who slots the ball home giving headhunters the lead. Kelkatu not affected by been one goal down equalized courtesy of a nice half volley from Amirul assisted by Greg. Headhunters had the chance to take the lead when a free-kick fell nicely for Nadun but he tried to be cheeky by chipping the goalkeeper. Having the lion’s share of possession for most of the half, Kelkatu finally took the lead In the 28th minute through an amazing Zubair’s goal from 25 yards. In the second half it was the same as the first, with Kelkatu dominating possession. An ideal Kelkatu passing game play which produced a goal scoring opportunity that hit the post. Few minutes later a Farouk  and Zubair combination produced a good to watch football that resulted in a goal scoring chance which Farouk grabbed with both hands. What a run!!! Tatenda(CB) not happy with the scoreline decided to take matters into his own hands running over 80 yards causing chaos in the Kelkatu defense but the finish not good enough.

Machanz Vs Pappadam

Its Saturday 19th March. Match day 1 of the Curtin league season 17. Between Machanz and Pappadam.With Marchanz without two key players (Raj and Lingesh). Most persons predicted that the match will go in Pappadam’s favour. But minutes later Steve took a long shot which was saved by the goalkeeper. Few minutes after that, Machanz drew first blood with a goal from a wonderful effort from Steve. Pappadam had some chances which they missed. But Machanz were enjoying themselves scoring another goal courtesy of Rajiv in the 13th minute. Pappadam made changes but it wasn’t good enough to stop Rajiv from scoring his second and Machanz's third just before half time. In the second half Pappadam looked revived. And in the fifth minute Thiago took an awesome shot from 25 yards which flew straight into the top corner, giving Pappadam a goal back, both sides created chances, tempers rose, substitutions were made but the scoreline remained the same.
It ended Machanz 3 Pappadam 1.

Community Shield

Last Sunday, there was a Community Shield Match between last seasons Champions Eagles FC against the runner ups Trinity FC. The event was fully sponsored by Mr.Johan of Cahaya Taufik Restaurant. The games ended with a 3-1 victory over Trinity. The first Goal was from eagles was scored by Mmediong, followed by Kimu and the 3rd goal by Mmediong again. Trinity managed to score against Eagles in a penalty, by a shot from Baller which couldn't be saved by keeper Sodiq. Overall it was a clean game with no fouls or injuries throughout the game.

(Players are yet to be drawn into any teams) - this will be updated when they are.

3. AWARD NIGHT @ Recreational Hall at 7.30 PM
A night of awards along with the other clubs such as Volleyball Club, Basketball Club, Rugby club, etc
Top 3 teams HAVE to come in their jerseys to accept the prizes.
All are invited to come (even not the top 3, as individual awards will be given out and not all of them are from the top 3 teams)
